As far as royal styling goes, fascinators and floor-sweeping coats have traditionally dominated most of the real estate. However, style enthusiasts today know to pay strict attention to royals’ dressed-down days, too maybe, ever since Princess Diana’s tube socks and sneakers epitomized the ’90s. The Duchess of Sussex is also one to keep things casual, whether it’s a $50 Zara sundress or a trustworthy pair of white sneakers. Even with that in mind, Kate Middleton’s vest ensemble always looked so unprecedented, putting a refined spin on the lesser-seen outdoors side of the royal.

On Sept. 29, Middleton has several non-royal duties as co-chairman of The Scout Association, an educational agency that helps young people in the United Kingdom acquire life skills and build their future.

For her first outing since assuming the role, this whole host of outdoor to-do‘s (s’mores making, for one) were in order for which Middleton dressed accordingly. Her glamping-worthy wardrobe included, in particular, a cocoa-colored utilitarian vest lined with cargo pockets to give the finest practicality. Underneath, she styled a full set of Massimo Dutti a powder blue button-up in linen (which is sadly sold out) and a pair of satin-skinned pants (still in stock). Middleton asked for some comfortable shoes to complete the look see Chloé ‘s fashionable hiking boots. The whole wardrobe was ideally tailored for her day of activity

Though somewhat more upscale than her regular inexpensive go-to, Middleton’s $495 vest is still stocked and fashion enthusiasts are quick to pick it up offline. As for her blouse, MANGO’s sky blue oxford is
sure to do the trick and it’s just $40. Though sold everywhere (apart from the odd Poshmark listing) there are hundreds of identical boots from See by Chloé. Takes its Crosta suede hiking boots, for example, which feature shearing accents that are just as well suited for the winter months.
